During a recent WWE event, a fan could be seen holding up a “LOCALIZE MOTHER 3” sign near the ring:
It turns out that that fan was none other than magypsyparty!
This is actually the second time this has happened. The first time it happened was a year ago, when a different fan held up a similar sign. Is this the start of a new trend?
(P.S. I’m a bit behind on recent EarthBound news, so I’m playing catch-up. More posts in the coming days!)

One guy held a sign asking for a Waluigi amiibo and we got a Waluigi amiibo some time later. It’s very unlikely, but it would be great if the NOA decided to freakin’ localize MOTHER 3.

I’m following her on Twitter. She also brought the sign to Monday Night Raw last night. She’s at SmackDown Live as I write this, but the sign was confiscated.

Cool!
Since the sign was held up during the New Day’s segment, Xavier Woods (who is a gigantic video game and anime fan) likely saw it, which is pretty great
“”The Nintendo 2DS really focused on that entry level gamer, the four-, five-, six-year old that is just getting into gaming, but wants to play Mario Kart, wants to have a Super Mario Bros. experience, wants to play Pokémon. And we feel with Nintendo 3DS XL at $199 that it’s a fully-featured product, that it is, if you will, the Cadillac of handheld gaming. And then we heard from consumers, ‘Boy, I wish there was something in between.'” Ergo the new 2DS XL, says Fils-Aimé.”
Seriously, who are these people? Obviously I’m not Nintendo, but I can point to over 30,000 people that wanted Mother 3 localized, but I can only point to one who said they wanted hardware between the 2DS and 3DS, and that’s Reggie himself from that TIME interview. I doubt any of them held up signs at wrestling matches, that’s for sure.
Maybe we should start a new campaign. We’ve got the game in Japanese, and we’ve got an unsanctioned ROM hack that we can’t give Nintendo money for. Boy, I wish there was something in between.
