A while back I posted about new MOTHER 1/EarthBound Beginnings straps that were planned to be released in Japan. Well, it’s getting pretty close to release time – it sounds like they’ll become available in Japanese capsule machines sometime this week or next week.
If you’re not in Japan, though, don’t worry! I’m sure they’ll be all over eBay and elsewhere, or you can even pre-order them from a few import sites, such as NCSX. Their prices will be higher than if you bought them yourself in Japan, of course.
For reference, there will be six different types available:
- Ninten
- Ana
- Lloyd
- Teddy
- Pippi
- And a larger-sized Starman
I wonder if/when they’ll ever start doing MOTHER 3 stuff…

I preordered them when this was first posted on the site, so I’ve been waiting quite a while. So stoked!

They’re all over Akiba. Super easy to find, and you can even get whole collections for the same cost of each capsule figure as if you gambled your 200 yen for it (I got mine like that on Sept 19 around 7pm).

If you rearrange them in order of Pippi, Lloyd, Ana, Ninten, Teddy, Starman, their first initials spell PLANTS. How this is relevant, I have no idea.
