Tips for Buying EarthBound

June 20th, 2015 | EarthBound, Itoi, Merchandise

There’s been a lot of big EarthBound series news lately, and here’s one that I’ve quickly covered on the past few live streams: a Saturn Valley-themed Hobonichi Planner cover will be released this September!

Here’s a look at the current sample:

Itoi’s company, Hobonichi, already released an Onett-themed cover for last year, so it looks like he’s hoping to make it into a series. Here’s a quick video of the Onett cover that I took a while back for reference:

If the Saturn Valley cover is like the Onett cover, then you’ll probably get more than just the cover itself. The Onett cover came with a Mr. Saturn pencil board and possibly some other goodies, but I can’t recall the details.

There’ll be more info about the Saturn Valley cover in August, but for now you can check out the official announcement here!

What does the back of the pencil board translate to?!

I’ve always wanted a Hobonichi Techo, and I think I found a good reason to buy one for 2016 now 😀

Oh, the text on the pencil board doesn’t say anything – it’s just the Mr. Saturn font. I guess if you want, you can trace over it to make Mr. Saturn say stuff 😛

Yeah, all the letters in the Mr. Saturn font.

All the letters of the font indeed…
