A Japanese MOTHER fan posted a photo of an Onett-themed rubber ink stamp thing on Twitter the other day, and it’s pretty cool!

Even Shigesato Itoi was impressed enough to retweet it!

That is amazing. I wonder if they got it laser cut or what.

This looks like it was done by hand. All I can imagine if I tried this would be me saying “Darn, gotta start over again.”

So yeah, I’m impressed.

I made one of these once of a rabbit in comparison mine sucks. That’s pretty cool I wish I had the patience to do something like that.

I made one these once but it wasn’t as good as this one. I wish I had the patience to do this myself one day.

I’m pretty sure they print out the map, trace over what they want to stamp with an ebony pencil, copy it to a linoleum slab (the rubber thing), carve it, then use a brayer with ink, and finally “stamp” it on to the paper.

It looks really nice!

Like Motdrafin said. I’ve done linoleum carving before and I can say it takes quite a patient person to do something with such precision as this map stamp required. Kudos to that guy.
