Tips for Buying EarthBound

November 3rd, 2014 | Audio Stuff, EarthBound, MOTHER 1, MOTHER 3

Miles V. has been working on an EarthBound fan music album called “Moonsidian” for a while now – in fact, I briefly covered it back in 2010. It’s nearing a release now, so here’s a quick preview of a few of the tracks!

And here’s a preview of one of the tracks, called “Instinct of the West”. Try to guess what song it’s based off of within the first 40 seconds 😛

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

It’s going to be 12 tracks in all, and you’ll be able to download it for free from here when it’s released.

If one watches the YouTube video above before listening to “Instinct of the West”, one will have the song’s source spoiled because of the banner at the bottom of the video, making the 40-second quiz meaningless, even if one has yet to play the game that the song plays in.

I attempted the quiz before watching the video (I failed), but I cannot guarantee anyone else will.

Figured it out by the chord progression around 20 seconds in. Sounds pretty nifty, I’ll have to check it out when it releases.
