A new Did You Know Gaming video was just released, and this episode is about EarthBound! This episode also features chuggaaconroy, who has helped introduce so many people to the MOTHER/EarthBound games that it still boggles my mind 😛

So much of the info here is scattered across my hundreds (thousands?) of EarthBound Central posts, so I’m glad that a bunch of it has been condensed into a nice and simple video format. I actually haven’t watched Part 2 yet, so I better do that now!

Actually, you forgot to mention that The Completionest has also done a review on Earthbound and there both on the same site and came out around a couple of days apart so…. that’s a thing…

Poochy, he is an extremely popular Let’s Player on youtube. As soon as he played Earthbound, thousands of his fans then decided they also wanted to.

I still remember when I first saw chuggaaconroy’s LP of Mother 3… From that day onward I have been a Mother fan and have been watching his videos depending on the game 😛 Thanks Chugga!

One day EarthBound will make it’s rise to fame as one of the greatest game series’ of all time. That will be a day where it will get more than a paragraph’s mention in “The Guiness World Records: Gaming” (we just had the book fair at my school). And mentions on large-scale websites like this are how that will be acheived.

Chuggaaconroy was an active sm.net member for several years. Just not lately.

Tbh Chuggaaconroy’s Mother 3 LP was mediocre, to the point where I stopped watching it about 3/4 of the way in. Too many dumb YTP references, meme imitations, halfhearted jokes, and poor attempts at trying to follow the game will do that for you.
IMO NintendoCapriSun does a far better LP and even then he does his trademark signature crap from time to time.

I internally fangasmed when I first heard about this. I saw all three MOTHER LPs by Chugga, and I consider his Mother 3 LP to be his best, since he actually took the game seriously, unlike other LP-ers, while still retaining his (at the time) trademark Chugga-ness (as in the essence of Chuggaaconroy, not a Chuggaaconroy-Ness chimera).
Finally they did one for the mother series. It was about time after 6 or 7 mario, pokemon, and zeldas.
