MOTHER 2 vs. EarthBound: Ending

I’m very much out of the loop, but there’s a series of Japanese visual novel games called DRAMAtical Murder. I don’t know much about it, except for what I’ve read here.
It seems that for an April Fools joke, a parody called DRAMAtical Mother was created that looks a lot like MOTHER 1:

Here’s a video of it in action:
And it looks like you can play it here (scroll down a bit).
It definitely looks cool, but I don’t really know what’s going on or why it was made 😯 If anyone with more experience with this could explain, that’d be amazingly wonderful!

Maybe it’s just a demo…
Anyway, I didn’t expect such thing from a Shounen-ai/BL visual novel, really. Well, maybe an RPG could be imagined, but one based of MOTHER? Uhmm no, unexpected.

Is it just me, or is the music in the background REALLY creepy?
It’s little stuff like this that makes me remember what a classic the original Mother is…
In a time when Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy were bigger than life itself, along comes Mother. No abundance of sequels, no dragons, no wizards, and it wasn’t even made by Enix or Square! What’s really surprising is the fact that, in many ways, Mother ended up being far more superior than the rest of its competition, and still today I think it’s safe to say Mother is the most well-made RPG experience on the original Famicom. (Maaaybe second only to Final Fantasy 3… Maybe…)

Dramatical Murder have a lot of old NES RPG in the game, since in the first one there was a lot of reference to Dragon Quest, I guess they wanted to make a reference to an other “popular” game hahaha
I was really surprise when I saw it and was about to send it here, but someone beaten me to it, it seems hahaha
I gotta say, it looks pretty well made. I’m not sure what is happening in there, but it seems like you can just talk with some of the characters of the game. Besides that, no idea what else there is to do there.
The game itself is a Boy Love game. Basically depending on your choices in the game, you end up with a different guy and ending.
