Tips for Buying EarthBound

May 29th, 2013 | Audio Stuff, EarthBound, Videos

One of my absolute favorite things is seeing fans of anything just having a lot of fun. This (I assume unfinished) set of EarthBound music videos by Go:Eskimo fits that bill perfectly:

(There is some strong language in here, if that’s something that bothers you)

Even if the style of music isn’t your thing, give a few different videos in the playlist a shot – it’s cool seeing fan enthusiasm coupled with a blending of older tastes and younger tastes. I dunno, that’s my take on it at least – I often feel like kid me and grownup me appreciate the game in different ways, and fan stuff like this reminds me of that 😛

Kind of “AAAAAAAAAARGH” at times, but cool! It’s neat that they wrote their own music.

GOD DAMN SCHOOL INTERNET!!!! can’t even watch this video. 🙁

EpicJackman said on May. 29, 2013

You still have school? Anyways…that was interesting.

Didn’t really like it. Too ‘heavy metal’ for me.
Also, EpicJackman: Timezones.

EpicJackman said on May. 29, 2013

Yeah, forgot about time zones. We must be really far away or he just has longer school and the first one.

Not bad, seems to be very inspired by Duane & Brando except with slightly weaker flow and rhymes. I’m sure lot of work went into writing/recording the music and making the videos.

My god. This was absolutely terrible. Easily one of the dumbest and most irritating things I have ever heard…. ever. Absolutely awful.

@Pigmask #372529

I’m not sure if you’re musically educated or not, but this has absolutely NOTHING to do with Heavy Metal music.

In fact, it seemed more like Hip Hop.

So please, don’t go around spreading things that you do not know about.

Hairobics said on May. 29, 2013

I prefer the term “Nintendocore” but I guess it takes inspiration from a lot of genres (Metal and hip hop included).

@Vudakin It actually sounds very heavy metal in the middle. Besides it was just an opinionated interpretation, you don’t need to attack the guy.

NBMPO said on May. 29, 2013

Not my cup of tea, but I respect his job and I think it’s pretty cool.

Vukadin said on May. 29, 2013

@The Apple Kid

It’s not Metal, trust me on this one. I play the guitar and listen to Heavy Metal religiously.

Nope, I was not attacking the guy. I just hate when people spread ignorance.

Rusty Shackleford said on May. 29, 2013

I thought it was funny. Am I not supposed to?

Hairobics said on May. 29, 2013

Yeah, listen to the other songs, Onett is pretty comical.

gustr15 said on May. 30, 2013

I like it.

misterdigi35 said on May. 31, 2013

Some rather negative reactions on this thread. I really enjoyed these songs. I listened to like six of ’em. It’s cool if you didn’t like it, but that doesn’t make them bad. I think they’re actually quite good. They should finish them.

Felix said on May. 31, 2013

I, for one, found it hilarious! 🙂

LKPbot said on May. 31, 2013

They’re released weekly or every two weeks usually.

BusterTheFox said on May. 31, 2013

I think this is awesome. I liked the music. It had the right blend between seriousness, comedy and just focusing on the music itself at times. I’ll probably be watching through these at some point! 😀

Pigmask #372529 said on Jun. 2, 2013

Geez, sorry for having an opinion.

gustr15 said on Jun. 2, 2013

Please don’t just listen to the first one, it’s pretty bad. Some of the others are great: Dusty dunes desert, Winters and Twoson are my favorites.

Snooper said on Jun. 2, 2013

Fourside is my favorite 🙂

Hirro said on Jun. 3, 2013

I love how ridiculous this is!

Vukadin said on Jun. 3, 2013

There’s a difference between ‘opinion’ and ‘ignorance’.

Pigmask #372529 said on Jun. 3, 2013

I do not listen to heavy metal, and therefore am not very knowledgeable as to the style. This song kinda sounds like the 10-seconds-or-so of heavy metal I HAVE heard, and as such I assumed it WAS heavy metal. It may have been a wrong assumption, but since I don’t know too much about the subject I made an educated guess based on what I DO know. Is that reasonable?

Vukadin said on Jun. 8, 2013

Well if you don’t know much about it: don’t talk about it.

All is forgiven though.
