It seems like this past week’s been EarthBound week over at 1UP.com! So many EarthBound-related articles – if you haven’t been by there lately, check it out. There’s lots of interesting EarthBound content that I haven’t posted about yet.
One of the big EarthBound things is the podcast – it features an interesting discussion with Reid Young at PAX last year, as well as an interview with Marcus Lindblom, one of the guys behind EarthBound’s localization 😯

OMG that is awesome. Maybe soon we’ll get the game on Wii U VC soon… it’d certainly get me to check out the Wii U Virtual Console, for sure.

Listening to that interview reminded me of just how good EarthBound’s localisation and translation is, especially compared to Square’s efforts on their RPGs around the same time when half of the text had to be thrown out because they didn’t want to program smaller spaces for the letters.
That was very interesting! I bet we could ask him things all day if we could. Just wondering, but why or rather how did you choose those questions to ask? Of course you didn’t mention that you had a part in the interview :-p. I was a little surprised that they didn’t say anything about Mother 3 though.
