Poll: Favorite Place in EarthBound

Lost Underworld, if only for the music and the change in perspective.

Mine has to be Zombie Threed , but since it wasn’t on the list I went for happy happy village, I just like the creepy atmosphere it had and happy happy village also has that.

Why was Threed left out in your original poll?

So hard to decide between Onett and Twoson… I went with Twoson because that’s where I would like to live if these places really existed. 🙂

I can’t speak for Mato but those places probably just got no votes.

This was hard. I stared at all the locations for 10 minutes before deciding on Onett. I love the arcade, the meteor, the treehouse, and most importantly home. Everytime I get a new member of the Chosen Four I take them back to Onett to show them ‘my’ hometown.

Maybe Twoson

This was very, very hard. Thankfully I wouldn’t have voted for Threed or Scaraba. But any of those early locations are places I love. So I was thinking really hard between Onett and Twoson. I love the music, and nothing beats getting to explore Mother 2’s world for the first time. Those places are so exciting and contained things I had never seen in video game worlds like… traffic! But I ultimately went with Happy Happy Village. I love the idea behind it. It never ceases to crack me up. That in itself sums up the Mother series for me.

Dalaam. Something about the music, the simple dungeon, and the free hotel
(That you can’t access if you are trying to skip the stupid photographer) makes it feel like a fun place for me to visit off and on when I need yo get lightning-fast EXP (Due to pink cloud until I can go beat up fobbies later in the game)

It was tied between Twoson, Happy Happy Village, Snow Wood, Saturn Valley, Fourside and Summers. Oh, and where’s Threed??

I got to say Dalaam. I like it the most when you first get there and can only play as poo. It seemed awesome as a kid. It had a fairy tale like meaning to it. Some far off land that looks like it floats and a special prince with psychic powers. Yup good ol Dalaam.

No Threed? Oh well, Happy Happy Village is fine, too.

Woo, Fourside~

I had to say Onett. Having played Super Smash Bros. before EarthBound, Onett was definitely the “face” of EB to me for a long time. Also I’m really fond of small town suburban settings in games since it’s something you don’t see often, and it sort of reminds me of my childhood.

Summers for me. It just felt like the four were on vacation, and the music was just nice and relaxing.

Well, no Threed, but that’s my favorite… both with and without zombies. Twoson and Happy Happy Village are tied for a close second.

Where is Magicant? That is my all time favorite place in the game! Oh well, I picked the Lost Underworld instead.

“Snow Wood”? Not “Winters”? Also, no “Magicant”, or “Moonside”, or “Scaraba”, or “Cave of the Past”? Not even “Threed”? Come on, that one is even a main town! You missed a lot of places on this list…

Winters would actually be my second, anyway, next to Happy-Happy Village. I don’t really know why, I just really like it.

Mine was Lost Underworld only because of the Sacred Sanctuary there. When you see your thoughts projected on the walls… man that’s an amazing moment.

Also, Scaraba’s town theme was one of my favorite songs in the game.

Threed by a mile, but Onett comes in second place I suppose. I like how both cities have day/night versions.

Fourside has awesome music and town plan.

Twoson, cuz it reminds me of the town i grew up in.

Wow I had such a hard time deciding, I love all those places so much D: In the end I picked Snow Wood because Tony.

If we count ones not in the poll though, my favourite is easily Magicant.

Snow Woods,it has some of the best music of the Game.

Well, since Moonside isn’t on the list, I’d say Twoson, just because it gave me that first “Hey, it’s a new town!” feel. And then the game gave me so many more feels… forever.

I’m 21 I was like 5 or 6 when I played earthbound for the first time but ness’ house reminded me of mine. Yup good ol earthbound 😉

Lately, I’ve actually been partial to Scaraba. I love the music and the dialog there. “There are snakes in the sack!”

I always enjoyed the atmosphere of Snow Wood, I would love to live there. (I live in Canada, so hopefully I wouldn’t mind the cold)

Magicant!! I mean you could turn the level pink! I would play just to do that and try to leave it that color! Lol

Fourside. 1.Because it’s when I REALLY started getting into the game.
2. It’s when things get more serious.
Oh and 2.5, the music and stage in SSBM is cool 😛

Saturn Valley For the Win

Giygas’ Lair has always been my personal favorite.

My favorite is Magicant, but since it wasn’t a choice I chose Summers.

This sounds a little weird but I like Happy Happy Villages’s music. (Even though lots of people think its more disturbing than Giygas music) Also I like some of the Blue jokes. (“Blew, blew.I’ll go practice my whistling somewhere else.” Or “Green, green. Sorry I’m new to the system.” <– something like that. I'm not to accurate with the lines 🙁

Dem Fourside fanboys. Come one guys, everyone knows the Tenda Village is the way to go.

I couldn’t choose it, but the Cave of the Past… in the present, because of the music.
