There’s apparently an old EarthBound-themed Half-Life mod that got abandoned. It looks pretty cool though:
You can read more about it and see more screenshots here. I’d love to know more and see it in action, so if anyone can oblige, please do!

It was plagued by ignorant people that couldn’t work together because all they cared about was their own opinions. All they did was bicker back and forth and curse at one another. There was no way it was ever going to finish in the first place, sadly.

Yeah, it seems that the odds of a fangame getting finished is inversely proportional to the number of people working on it. Something along the lines of 1 / (2 ^ n) where n is the number of people involved.

I can’t help but feel they’d have made better and quicker progress with the Doom engine, which would also work excellently with the old sprites.

Huh, looks it can’t even be played. No downloads, just some development images. Shame, really, I think it’d be cool to play a prerelease of this at the least.
