Tips for Buying EarthBound

October 23rd, 2011 | Misc., MOTHER 3

A little while ago Adam sent this in:

Ashly Davis, of “Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin’?” fame, has a new site called “How Video Games Saved My Life” where people can submit their stories on how video games have helped them. I thought this was a fantastic idea, since all too often we see video games demonized in the media…it’s nice to finally hear about all the good they can do.

I submitted a story of my own on how Hinawa’s death in Mother 3 helped me realize the importance of keeping in touch with my family, and it was accepted. If you have any time to read it (it isn’t too long), then it would be much appreciated. You can share it here if you wish, since I think the more people who see Ashly’s site the better…it’s still new and small, but important I believe.

You can check out Adam’s story here.

That’s a good site. I think everyone has special memories of some kind from video games. 🙂

I get to the site thinking “OK, let’s read a pair of these…”

An hour later, and I already need to wash my face! The one about Catherine? Man, these stories are hardcore, I tell you what…

The decade MOTHER 3 was released in (2000’s) and of course COD isn’t on there, how can it help people cope with situations like those?

Zoom! said on Oct. 23, 2011

Correcting mistake: *The decade MOTHER 3 was released in (2000’s) is over…

Dang that MOTHER 3 decade comment was in the wrong place.

Frack Mato! First you give me a chance to enjoy a game with values and story that could make a grown man cry, now you direct me to a website filled with these. They are all not even MOTHER-esqe games! Some are mundane like zelda and mega man! I hope your happy! I shall stay up all night reading these!
Gah! Another website bookmarked!

@Zoom! I mean I’m GLAD that COD isn’t on their. there are to many COD freaks who play it all day and everyday. It wouldn’t take a while for a clueless person to say, “Duuuuu, COD saved my life so zombie situations will be easier,” I’m saying glad that that didn’t happen

RandomGuardian said on Oct. 24, 2011

Now now. There’s a difference between COD freaks and 15 year old “feminine cleaning products” who play it because it makes them “cool”
That’s why I stick to PC instead of XBOX. Less kids to piss you off 😀

Dude that’s a really sweet story 🙂

Also, there’s one about Earthbound on the site, too:
