Tips for Buying EarthBound

July 1st, 2011 | EarthBound, Images

A recent anime called “Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko” is absolutely filled with references to stuff, and in the past there’ve even been a couple MOTHER references (see here and here).

Apparently episode 11 has some more references, this time we see a “FATHER 2” cartridge and Mr. Pluto in a Super Mario Kart-lookalike:

Thanks to Lollita Ares for the tip!

I want to thank Mato personally for getting me interested in this anime. It’s a great series. 🙂

I really love the Mother references, they’re nice touches.

The fact that Mr. Pluto is replacing the Lakitu we all know and love* is even more comical to me.

*Well aware about 50% of gamers actually hate him…

I was just watching this part like 20 minutes ago.
In a similar vein, the girl with the pink hair and ponytail looks a lot like Arche from Tales of Phantasia…

Father 2? XDD That’s amazing.

Unfortunately, they can’t make Father 3 a mother 3 spin-off, or else Hinawa would be a party member for the first chapter, and Flint take mortal damage form the Drago.

lol, joking, but it’s intresting to see what they do with Mother 3.
