Tips for Buying EarthBound

June 10th, 2011 | MOTHER 3, Videos

chavacero sent this in the other day – he made a short cosplay performance about MOTHER 3 stuff at an anime convention. It’s essentially a reenactment of the final battle, so if by some absolutely crazy chance you’re at this site but haven’t yet played the game, look away 😛

I really like this a lot, it’s creative and shows a lot of love for the game.

Wow, was this all in Spanish? That’s pretty interesting by itself. It would have been a lot better if it was longer, but hey, I don’t suppose they had that kind of time. Great job nonetheless.

That was really cool. I do have to agree that it was too short though.

this was…….awkward to say the least. Really, no, not ever will I want to be seeing this again.

Hmm… Short but touching…

James said on Jun. 10, 2011

Did anyone else notice that the audience chants “Beso! Beso!” (kiss! kiss!) When they embrace? How sad.

PK-Gaming said on Jun. 10, 2011

@James Wow, THEY’RE BROTHERS NOT LOVERS. -facepalm- This is why you shouldn’t reenact a not pretty much not famous video game that wasn’t officially translated.

Rock said on Jun. 10, 2011

The idea itself it’s not bad, the audience is stupid. It makes me feel sad, too.

LucasPSI said on Jun. 10, 2011

Yah.. It was kind of dissapointed all everyone cared about in the crowd was yaoi! XP But it was still an awsome skit! I wish it was longer! T.T

They should have turned off the lights after the needle was pulled

M1997 said on Jun. 11, 2011

That was a really magnificent cosplay. I would’ve done better from a technical standpoint, but the acting… WOW! Also, the audience should’ve kept quiet while it was going on. They must’ve never played Mother 3.

Rafael R120 said on Jun. 11, 2011

Woah, they did pretty well. I just wish the audience would shut up for a secound…

yuck. cosplaying is for dweebs.

Cyus said on Jun. 11, 2011

Most are, but not all, and I imagine it was that way before the cosplay. Correlation doesn’t equal causation.

Kelsyjones said on Jun. 12, 2011

@Dude: I highly disagree with you.

PKSTARMAN said on Jun. 12, 2011

Here in Mexico EB doesn’t get the attention it deserves, but the Smash games have made Ness and Lucas notable.

PKSTARMAN said on Jun. 12, 2011

It’s really annoying how everyone is shouting “Beso!” when they are embraced. I wish they could have played the game. Damn you, Reggie!

PKSTARMAN said on Jun. 12, 2011

Hey dude, you should have got one Duster, one Kumatora and uhh… a dog or a guy disguised as a dog. (Perro Guarumo LOL) in the scene when everyone is electrocuted except Lucas.

Rock said on Jun. 12, 2011

@PKSTARMAN: And a Flint, too. A bald guy dressed as Flint!

chavacero said on Jun. 13, 2011

I´ll get in my mind :3
I said, i will make the same with those charactes!

fael said on Jun. 14, 2011

fantastic performance of a very difficult scene!

gracias @chavacero por traerles un poco de luz a aquellas pobres almas perdidas que no salen de yugioh y naruto.

Cosplay has always creeped me out..it seems so…awkward…

Zoom! said on Aug. 24, 2011

That said I’m not against people doing cosplay, I myself just don’t like the idea of it.

Paula Polestar said on May. 23, 2012

In the game, this made me cry. And I am not a typically emotional person. So that’s saying something.
