A number of other translations of MOTHER 1+2 are finished or nearly finished, here’s an update on two others.
Brazilian Portuguese: 100% complete!

This was done by Foffano and the other folks associated with EarthBound Brasil. I swear, that site impresses me more and more each time I check it 😯 Check out the site here, you can download the MOTHER 1+2 patch on the right sidebar.
Mexican Spanish: ~10%? Help requested

This is a project being worked on by X-Games. The translation is approximately 10% done, but help is requested if you can offer any. See the project site here!
Other Translations?
If you’re working on a translation of MOTHER 1+2 using the tools I released here and want it mentioned on EB Central, make sure you make a website for your project first. That way, if your project makes progress or if you make a new version of your patch, you won’t have to go through me. It saves me a lot of time and makes it easier for speakers of your language to keep tabs on your work.

Woah O.O . The BR translation sounds very good, no typos in any of the screenshots! I’ll make sure to give it a try later :D.
Just sent an email to the Mexican translation guy, hope he answers, I’m really interested in helping! T_T
I’m probably going to make a gag translation that is completely silly, made-up, and inappropriate.
Yeah. There’s no thing like “Brazilian language”. People from Brazil speak Portuguese. Also, there’s no thing like “Mexican language” People from Mexico speak Spanish.

Indeed, I simply used those terms because it’s clearer from a quick glance that I’m not talking about Portugal Portuguese or Spain Spanish.

@Rock
Indeed, we just call it Mexican Spanish because, well, the language we use in Mexico is really slang ridden. Believe me, it’s one of the messiest Spanish you can hear, particularly from people from Mexico City and Distrito Federal.
Actually, what Mato said is correct, because, the Portuguese translation is made in Brazil, so that makes it a Brazilian translation, I guess…
I know about the Mexican Spanish, it’s actually kind of neat, and many cartoons and TV series were dubbed in Mexico, using many slangs. Words such as “Hijole”, or abbreviations like “pos” instead of “pues” makes it even more cool.
Is there any hope for a French translation of Mother 1, 2, or 3?
…please? 😀
Greetings to all Earthbound fans from all the world
this hack of brazilian portuguese surely helped me to pass trough heavy parts of the game!
