Tips for Buying EarthBound

June 10th, 2011 | Merchandise, MOTHER 1

A little while back, around the time I released my MOTHER 1+2 translation, in fact, Fangamer was doing an EarthBound Zero fanfest (which included my Killer Lamp prank) and to celebrate they announced a special MOTHER 1/EB Zero shirt called “Robot Smash“. The design is of two of the big robots in the game duking it out. It’s not my kind of shirt, but it looks cool. I really like the use of color in the design, I bet it’d make for an awesome poster or something.

Anyway, they finally recently released the shirt (see Poe’s page about it here) so I thought I’d mention it briefly. Normally EarthBound Zero/MOTHER 1 gets overlooked, so between the M1+2 translation, the fanfest, and the recent Fangamer merch, I’m hoping more fans will give the game a chance.

I also think it’s awesome that fans can make such high quality stuff compared to some of the official shirts out there, like this 😛
