paperluigi232 recently uploaded this video of a Saturn Valley (the EarthBound one) made in Minecraft:
I haven’t played Minecraft yet… I’m worried it will suck away every last bit of free time I have. But I get the feeling I won’t be able to resist forever. It’s awesome seeing the stuff people create with it though!

fair warning: you’ll lose more free time then you could ever anticipate.
you get on with the intention of working for 5 minutes before starting something important, next thing you know 6 hours have passed and you’ve abandoned any thoughts of food or constructive work.

If you have a history of getting addicted to games then yes you will most likely end up playing a lot of Minecraft in single spans of time, but it really depends on the person. It’s actually pretty hard for me to get deep into a game but when I do… man time flies by.

I am sort of glad my computer laggs out when I play beta. Eventualy it gets so bad I have to stop playing.
That way I dont get addicted 🙂

If you get into building, you’ll lose SO much time in it. I’ve been playing on and off since before the client version was developed and I can attest to how many ideas will come to you whilst wandering in world.

I would live there if somebody actually managed to replicate Saturn Valley life-sized. In fact you could make it a town and Earthbound fans could live there. Genius!

I’ve always thought EB should be remade next gen from a first person perspective like this kinda. The level of immersion would be awesome.
