This past weekend I threw together two Mother3/DCMC covers. Both of them are versions of the “Theme of DCMC”, and are stylistically quite different. The quality is not bad (nothing to write home about but certainly not terrible either) if i may say so myself…
Nothing super amazing or revolutionary here. But, I thought i’d upload them and share them with my fellow EB/Mother3 fans. The music of Mother2/3 have been (and continue to be) a constant source of joy and inspiration to me. I enjoyed slapping these two songs together, and I hope others will enjoy listening to them as well.
They are both up on my new youtube account. With a bit of customized mother3 sprite modifications as a background.

Thanks again. The tracks are were mostly improvised, aside from the characteristic themes and motives that are part of the main melodies of the songs. I know my these aren’t perfect, but I hope they are well received! =)
I really like these remixes. It’s a shame they’re not available in MP3 form – I could rip some from the videos but they wouldn’t be very good quality I bet. Maybe sometime down the road downloadable versions will be available?

it takes time to make beautiful sounding music. I remember as a fan of mother 2. it took a while for mother 2 covers to come out. I’m happy with these two. I wanted to subcribe to your youtube account but they were undergoing maintenance. thanks for the music. I love to listen to it. listening to these was like putting warm medicine into my heart. again, thanks.

And yes, mother3 has excellent music. It really is a masterpiece of a game from the visuals to the music to the story it’s just a superb example of high quality. The music in the game is not only catchy but musically interesting for theory-heads like myself. I’m a huge fan of earthbound’s music also. The style is a lot different but they are both just melted into my soul at this point… lol.

Both of the tracks on in that folder. I’ll do more covers in the future. Anything mother related, i’ll run by here. For everything i do, subscribe to my youtube channel. I hope you like them. 😉

thanks for the mp3’s Kat, I almost never listen to regular music. I’d say 90% of my music listening is earthbound music or earthbound fan covers and remixes. and I’m happy that way.

sorry to double post. but when I click on the link I get a blank page. and my status bar says done *sad face* it could be my internet. you see my internet… well it’s not mine. I kind of “borrow” it and sometimes the net doesn’t work. I was just wondering if it’s my “free” internet, or if the link is wrong?

Actually i think my upload broke mediafire last night, because a few minutes after i uploaded the songs the site went down for me aswell, and so i just went to bed… lol.

Nice Remixes there Katana. Even my roomate, who hasn’t ever heard any Mother music said that the first one was a chill song.
Also, is it wrong for me to smirk when you added in tiny bits of Porky’s main theme?
I haven’t seen too many Mother 3 covers around, and that is pretty surprising considering how amazing and diverse the game’s soundtrack is.
THIS IS AWESOME.
