Super Power’s EarthBound Review

This is pretty old by now, but it’s still pretty neat.
For some reason I think it might’ve been the old Starmen.Net/EarthBound.Net staffer Mars who figured that out about 10 years ago. Maybe I’m remembering wrong though.
This wasn’t intentional, though. Tendas are called Gumis/Gummies in MOTHER 2. It’s just a neat coincidence in EarthBound 😛

This is pretty dang cool, however it is a complete coincidence, but still pretty mind blowing too! 🙂

I didn’t even notice there were numbers in any of the town’s names..
And you call yourself a fan Linkzcap.
And yet, by that equation, every town/city turns into Tenda village when it is summer.

If you think about it, it may be intentional that they changed “gummies” to “tendas” to make it fit the number naming scheme.
“gummy” -> “tender” -> “tenda” (Spoken with an accent, i.e. “aww yeah! dat wuz tenda, fo sho!”)
Too much of a stretch?
This probaly just coincidence, but the Mother/Earthbound series takes place over a span of 23 years. M1/EB0 has Eight Melodies, M2/EB also has Eight Melodies, M3/EB2 has 7 Needled 8+8+7=23!
Aw cool.
I always noticed the town names were all number puns but I never thought about it like that.

Ever thought of the the link between the order of the town names and the order of bowling pins? 😛
