MOTHER 3 Reference in Pokemon X and Y?

It’s no secret that there are like a zillion MOTHER 1, 2, and 3 strategy guides in Japan. Hell, I even started putting together a list of them all here. But they’re usually so rare or just a little too pricey that most fans never get to see them.
Lucky for us, crazy collector LucasTizma has been acquiring a lot of this neat stuff and has been scanning some of it. You can check out a full Japanese guide here, in fact.
On top of that, good ol’ kenisu is thinking of translating these scans into English, and you can see a few of them here.
The MOTHER 1 and 2 guides are really cool and full of charm and humor. They’re a lot like the EB Player’s Guide in that sense, except unlike the EBPG, there’s a ton of ’em. So if you happen to come across one and it’s not too expensive, snatch that sucker up!

NeonSquid – at this point I think it’s down to personal preference since I’ve seen either be used about the same amount and some people are very particular about which one they use. I personally like Loid better because it’s weird and different.

Wow, I must give my utter respect to LucasTizma and Kenisu. Why don’t we translate these things and sell them on fangamer? I’m sure that the MOTHER Encyclopedia would sell like hot-cakes considering they’re pocket-sized,rare,and probably the best MOTHER guide out there! 😀

Oh, awesome! That translated scan almost looks like it was originally in English! And I’m loving these illustrations…

this has nothing to do with the pic,hey mato I tybed in earthbound snes all catercories and a little down the page,I found earthbound on the nes,aslo,the nes catergidge looks wierd,please tell me whats going on!

There are a ridiculous amount of strategy guides for Mother. I can’t imagine how many guides a game from the Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy series would have…

LOL @ Crazy Collector LucasTizma. Guess that’s me from now on: CCLT. Can’t wait to get more guides/magazines/books scanned and up for everyone to enjoy. 🙂 It’s been fun looking through ’em.
