Yes, you read that right 😯
Forumgoer “Bigot” (sorry, can’t seem to find a homepage link) submitted this to Starmen.Net a while ago. I don’t think anyone has ever cosplayed as Shigesato Itoi before. But here it is, someone’s gone and done it!
He included this as the description for the submission:
My Shigesato Itoi costume for spirit week. First day of it will be celebrity day. I decided to add a twist and be a Japanese celebrity. =D
As you can tell, the shirt is just a plain black shirt with a photo of the design of the REAL Smash Starman shirt taped to it. Parental consent sadly allows parents to stop their kids from buying $50 shirts (even if they can afford it themselves). The Mr. Saturn plush was home-made by me, with some help from my mom.
I feel like such an idiot the way I made this costume possible.
Has this happened in other fandoms? Has anyone ever cosplayed as Miyamoto? I’d be curious to know. All I know is that this = crazy. You know you’ve truly made it in life when people start cosplaying as you 😛

I think his posture was bad trying to balance the Saturn on his shoulder 😉
I only wish he’d spiked his hair a little. Would have been perfect!
