Not many people know this, but inside Nintendo of America, all the conference rooms are named after stuff having to do with Nintendo games. They’re just names given to the rooms, they’re not themed or anything. But because of this, there actually exists an EarthBound room inside NOA!

I know Jonk’s been in there before, and I can’t remember for sure, but I think he might’ve been there a second time when he and reid and everyone else visited Nintendo last year (see here). I wonder if any EarthBound related stuff ever actually happened in there.
Anyway, I heard from someone who knew someone who ate someone that when they were opening another office down in California recently, they did a poll for new conference room names. I don’t know what was suggested and what won, but I wonder if anyone suggested any EarthBound stuff. That’d be cool if there was a Lucas room. Maybe even a Doria room would be cool 😛

Well, at least we know that they recognize the game’s existence. In all reality, this room has probably been there for years, it’s not going to mean anything. But man, reading that newsroom post makes me miss starmen.net…
Still it’s cool to know they actually have a room called EarthBound.

I wonder about how often si this room used. :p
Ironically, this is the room they were in when they decided to release Magical Starsign in America
We passed by this conference room during our visit to the NoA HQ. Didn’t go in, but we did stand around outside the door and gawk at it’s awesome name. It’s nice to know that EarthBound has some kind of presence there.

I am finally happy.
Maybe there’s hope? I dunno. I wonder what’s in that room….
They said some horrible meeting happened in there, so nobody likes to go inside of it anymore.

Wow, I’m surprised NOA didn’t beat you for taking that picture, considering how it seems like they’re trying to zone out Earthbound altogether.
Thats awsome to know that NoA has a room called EarthBound even though they dont like hearing the name.
The room’s haunted? Wow, you’re lucky at least to havce one, e probably don’t.
… i wonder whats inside? can they have copies of Mother 3 translated just for them?
Why, that must be the room that Reggie throws darts at.
Or maybe it’s the one where he puts all the ignored EB-related things sent to him.
been to Noa 3 times to get ds repairs but didn’t gp in the main building. sigh
Stop saying NoA hates EarthBound. They don’t hate it, they just don’t care for it.
And, it would be cool if there was a SNES and a TV so people could play EarthBound in there.

Meanwhile the Pokemon room across the hallway is always full………..
Gotta love the fact that they bring over all kinds of games that sell decent… and they are sitting on a gold mine…
old fans, smash bros fans, and new-comers all would buy any earthbound game released.. either to relive, see their characters roots, or to just give a new game a shot… that’s literally millions of dollars nintendo doesn’t care about..
But since pokemon is more marketable… that gets 3 versions per iteration…. good job nintendo… ignore your dedicated fans and go try to get new ones… when the old ones abandon you don’t come crying back to us…
That’s cool but they should name a helicopter or plane after earthbound
You know, if, one day, a Mother 1+2+3 room shows up, I shall party, like there is no tommorow
Pretty cool. They probably have Master Belch locked up in there.

Nintendo’s just mocking us.
Haha. That’s cool. But I wouldn’t be surprised if this room was the least used in NoA’s HQ.
Open the door and see the first and only official english copy of mother 3. And theres Reggie hogging it
Woah. Even if there is the possibility that nothing concerning Earthbound ever happened there, it’s nice to know that at least it was considerated. :DD
