To anyone who remembers the post on EBC EarthBound in a museum the results finally came in and EarthBound lost out to The legend of Zelda A Link to the past. I thought that EarthBound might've won since most EBC members would've know about it. But Link to the past is hard to compete against

Anyway to those of you who don't know the Smithsonian is holding an art of videogames exhibit and you were supposed to vote for what games you wanted to see on display. It was seperated by console and genre; and I'm pretty sure EarthBound was listed under SNES action/adventure (I may be wrong so correct me if I am). The choices were EarthBound, Legend of Zelda, a link to the past, and Chrono trigger. Both Chrono trigger and Link to the past are pretty popular so I understand why legend of zelda won but I can still be a bit dissapointed.

Yeah, I heard about that. I'm pissed that Earthbound lost! Although, i'm surprised that Link to the Past beat out the almighty Chrono Trigger too, considering alot of people think it's one of the best RPGs ever made.

I voted for Doom 2 also for their little museum thing under shooters, amongst other games.

Frankly, I'm glad Chrono Trigger didn't win. I hate that game, and I'm sick of all the attention it receives. :P

Just out of curiosity, how come you hate Chrono Trigger? Jumps around too much?

Just don't enjoy it. Don't like the characters, don't like the battle system, and I really hate what's-his-face...the guy who did the art? Same guy who does Dragon Quest and Dragon Ball Z. Blech. :(

Just not my cup of tea. :P

Akira Toriyama.

All good man. I think Chrono Trigger is a great game, but thats just me. A little surprised to see it lost against LTTP though. Would've been better if EB won!

Yeah... But it was kind of a long shot anyway. :) Still, Zelda 3 is a fantastic game!

I've honestly never finished LTTP. I keep getting stuck in one of the temples in the Dark World or whatever. It is the best 2D Zelda game though!

Yes, LTTP gets very confusing toward the second half of the game.

Actually, you can say that about any Zelda game :p

I agree to some extent Tanooki Mario, though I feel the confusion only happens with the older games pre-Ocarina of Time. Ocarina of Time and after that, seem to map things out pretty well if I recall.
