Just like the topic says what are some of the best games you've played and like that you think most people have never heard of because maybe it didn't sell well or never got a US release. I have a few that come to mind, anyone else?

Planescape: Torment comes to mind.
I haven't met a single person IRL who has heard of this game.
Which is a shame, because it really is a great CRPG.

Oh, another even more obscure series that comes to mind (thanks to being reminded by my avatar) is the Tengai Makyou series.
Even online, it is difficult to find somebody who knows of these games.
And it's not as if the series doesn't have some degree of popularity in Japan.
There are just no translations of any game in the series, so nobody English speaking really knows of them.

One I really like is alien soldier for the genesis. It was released in Japan and Europe, so its in english but not for Americans. The game itself is somewhat rare and even European copies of the game go for a lot of money. Basically its a run and gun game except the game has more boss battles rather than levels, and generally it takes more time to beat the boss than the level. I thought the controls were really good and I thought the main character was pretty cool. I really liked it and it is on the virtual console but you don't really hear it get mentioned though.

Anyone ever play Snowboard Kids? It's probably more popular than I think, but that's all my childhood memories wrapped in one game.

I thought I might as well post a picture. I think the long boss meter further proves my point about long boss battles. Its not tedious or anything and I actually enjoy having more boss fights then levels, its a change of pace that I really like.

Indeed I have played Snowboard Kids, played both the games for the N64 back in the day. Nice to hear those games mentioned, nobody else has played them except my younger cousins.

Anyways, to stay true to the topic, has anyone played Blood? It's an FPS game that runs on the Build engine, the same one power by Duke Nukem 3D. Really obscure game with a cult following that's a little smaller than this one. Blood is alot like Doom, but with the horror and violence meter turned up to 11!

I have both it and its sequel.
Nabbed them from Good Old Games.
Too bad the first runs like ass under DOSBOX (well, on my computer anyway), so I can't really get a playable experience with it.

I remember playing that game like crazy when I was 8-9 years old. Great fun. Haven't played it in years, though.

I think I've played that game in one of the newer Sega collections. If it's what I think it is, it's pretty fun.

So, anyone here a fan of The Bizarre Adventures Of Woodruff And The Schnibble?
It's an incredibly funny, wacky, charming, and even somewhat surreal adventure game. The art-style is cartoony and unique, the puzzles are challenging but fair, the voice-acting is somewhat over the top but never felt off or out of place, and, for the time, it had incredible graphics. Unfortunately, the game completely tanked in both EU and NA, to the point that Sierra dubbed it an absolute failure and disowned it (more or less), thus, causing it to fade into obscurity.
