anyone wonder y ness and ninten look almost exactly the same

in my theory, Giygas went back in time and tried to destroy ninten's family lineage. but still he got born. but since there was some changes in the past, he wasn't born as early he was born later, as Ness instead of Ninten. that's my theory and i'm sticking with it. it took several years to formulate. but I like it.

but it's just my theory, you're all free to make up your own of course. so says Itoi (he more or less encourages you to make up your own reasons)

I have thought of it and I could never figure out why they look so similar. I've heard theories that Ness and Ninten are the same person or that Ninten is Ness's dad but I don't believe those myself.

Or maybe they just wanted to tie the two games together?

Ninten's dad is a player enough said.

I seem to remember an interview or something where Itoi basically said "fill in the details yourself," and I think he mentioned that "Ness and Ninten could be the same person, or whatever you want to believe."

So, after that, I personally like the 'Ninten is Ness's dad' theory, but that's just me. Maybe they're cousins or something.
