At one point or another we have all found some kind of glitch in our favorite games. Its pretty interesting to be able to say you find a mistake that the programmers overlooked and for that reason I feel smug whenever I find one. So if there is any interesting glitch you find, or know about than please post it here.
While I didn't find out about this glitch myself I always liked the missingno glitch in the original pokemon games. Getting a ton of masterballs was well worth any negative affects from the glitch.
Another minor one I found in yellow was being able to go on the cycling rode without a bike. You just don't have the bike in your bag and try to go to the cycling road. The person will stop you but keep holding left on the D-pad and you'll go through anyway, you're forced to ride a bike even though you don't own one.

I haven't found many glitches on my own, but I'm confident I was the first to find out the "jackhammer" glitch in Super Smash Bros. Brawl where Kirby shakes like crazy when you use the rock ability on the right corner in the Pictochat stage. I found that out a couple days after it was released in North America and it was cool to find out something like that on my own.
I also loved trying out as many glitches as I could on Pokémon Blue. I would start new files just to try individual glitches out when I was a kid.

I was just recently playing God of War HD on my PS3 and I found an error in this room. I don't remember the title. but it's something like the room of rings. I'm sure if you played God of War you know what room I'm talking about. anyway. right under the steps while walking around the ring. if you go under the steps and keep jumping against the wall of the steps. you will fall through the steps. and you can walk under the steps. and jump back out. it doesn't make the game crash or anything like that. keep in mind i'm playing the god of war HD remake for the PS3 not the PS2 version of the game. so it might not work on the PS2 version. but you can do it. you have to keep on jumping against it. eventually you'll just fall right through. and I find it helps when you attack in the air with the sword. and even better if you can get it to where you jump.
and i don't know if flash games count but I found a mega ton of bugs and glitches on the super mario bros crossover game. and thankfully 90% of them have been fixed. my favorite one was the one where if you played as Samus, and bombed up to a cealing of some sort that couldn't get destroyed. and then pushed over. it would launch you through a wall if you were next to the wall, but that bug has been fixed. but you can still do it on version 1.0 of the game. it's never useful in anyway, but it's still fun as hell to do it. and also this is a current bug on the game but it's random. if you jump into the walls with Ryu there is a 1/1000000 chance you will go through the wall and then bounce back out. but i've heard that this bug is fixed in the next release.
easiest place to do that ryu bug is in level 2-1 at the very end when on the spring just keep jumping into the wall. i think it works best if you land with your back to the wall but I'm not sure. i can do it sometimes facing the wall as well.
on Secret of mana. in the last place in the game (the palace in the sky) if you spend hours and hours and hours fighting the werewolf's. the game will glitch and give you a sword orb. you then have the true mana sword. do it again and the game freezes.

In Brawl, there's the glitch in stage builder where if you put moving platforms in the right place, you can walk off the side as if it were at the top of its movement, even if it's at the bottom. So if the platform's at the bottom and you walk off the side, and there's a floor next to the moving platform when it's at the top, you appear on the floor next to where the moving platform would be. Same works for drop-down blocks, but it's harder to do. That probably wasn't very clear. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x30EG7N1aI

in smash bros melee you can play as master hand without any cheat codes. it's a glitch. and you have to be plugged in to controller 3. it's fun. but it makes the game crash every time you win. but it's still a very fun glitch. I think they show you how to do it on gametrailers. let me check. this isn't the webpage I found it on. but there is a the video here explaining how to do it. it's a lot of fun. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/episo ... ion/701341

I had this really weird trick happen in brawl, not really a glitch but worth mentioning. My friends were playing on stock mode and it was set to one life. There were two people playing and somehow they both fell off the edge and died at the same time. The game went into sudden death, I forget which characters my friends were using since they actually did it but I have yet to see that happen again.

I forgot to mention that I was using stock and the stock was set to one life. So both characters fell and somehow they both lost their only life at the same time.I know sudden death not a glitch, I was only pointing it out because I've only had it happen once where two characters fall at the exact same time and go into sudden death because of it.
