not everyone would pay as much as I would. but for a good working model 1 sega CD I'd say at least $500 just for the sega CD it self. but I'd need some proof it worked before I bought it also, I wouldn't allow it to get shipped in the mail. those things are so fragile I'd have to drive to where ever I'm buying it to pick it up.. but that's just me. congrats on fixing the problem with your sega CD. I don't understand really how you fixed it. but congrats. usually you need to take the entire thing apart take out it's fuse and then put in a new fuse. and that's not as easy as most people would imagine. I had a sega CD model 2 and I had to fix it's fuse 3 times. it was so hard to do the first time. just payed some guy to do it for me the other two times


but yeah... for people that aren't me. I'd say it's at least worth $350 alone... as long as it works

just keep in mind you'd have to sell it to someone in need of it. other wise most people (that don't know the value of how awesome that system is) wouldn't pay that much. also with emulation the way it is. most fans, even the hardcore just use emulation now that fusion came out (best sega emulator in the world. only one that emulates the games graphics, filters and much more correctly) a lot of hardcores feel it's so impossible to have a working Sega CD and it's so easy to just get an emulator. a lot of the hardcore fans. own all the games. and play them on their emulator (in their CD rom drive)...

I'm against ROMs and Emulators (as you know), but you can play insert the CD into your computer and play it through an emulator?

depends on what type of CD rom you have, but yes you can. on Fusion

Fusion. made me mad that I spent so many years on all the inferior emulators.

they emulate games better than backbone does on sonic's ultimate genesis collection. it's what I call better than the actual system. this might not sound like much to people that emulate NES SNES and PSX games. but until fusion came out there wasn't a single sega emulator out there that emulated the games correctly. it made all the game look horrible, because the Genesis had some sort of filter put in it so it could run on SD TV's and look smooth. but computers aren't SD TV's and it ended up looking like garbage on computers. but now thanks to fusion. all the games run, and look and feel the exact way they are supposed to.

if you had a sega controller hooked up to your computer. and fusion running on full screen mode, it wouldn't feel fake. and I feel that it feels fake even on sonic's ultimate genesis collection. but that's because it's not emulated perfectly on the PS3/360

so yeah fusion was a beautiful sexy find for emulation. but I still prefer to play them on the Genesis. because it's legal and you don't have that guilt.... if only I found this emulator before I grew mature and felt guilty for playing games illegally.

it the only emulator to ever have the correct color scheme/palette for Sonic And Knuckles and all the 32x games.

plus the filters work correctly so you don't have all the hideous vertical lines

yes you can, you can also boot the sega cd without anything in it and enjoy the nice music
