A bit unrelated but this reminded me of it. The virtual console updates on mondays and the 20th aniversary of Mother was on a monday. On that day there was no VC update at all so I wasn't sure if it had anything to do with Mother. On June first I'll probably start a new file on EarthBound, I've wanted to do that for a while now.
