Without Earthbound, I'd be posting on StarTropicsCentral.com's forum right now trying to explain what Tengai Makyou is or something like that...

Well, since I got inspired by the series to write a story about a psychic boy, then I probably wouldn't be too into writing.

Don't worry, though, the story isn't a fanfic. XD It's actually very different then Mother. The only big thing that connects the two is the situation: a psychic boy in a modern setting.

So let me get this straight, if EarthBound didn't exist we would all be startropics fans? I dought RPGs would be any different today if earthBound didn't exist but thats all I can think of. I find it hard to imagine myself being a startropics fan, I played the first one, and can say I enjoyed it but I wouldn't say I'm a fan of it. I think I probably would've moved on to kid icarus but thats just me. Who knows maybe I would've played through both startropics games and liked them so much I became a fan. Based on this conversation I think someone should go out and create a startropics central. I honestly would like to know what that would be like.

I believe it was Mato who said he wanted to make a StartropicsCentral.

if earthbound didn't exist and I was still alive, I'd be a heavy drug addict, probably in jail, never would have met my wife and would have my daughter. I probably would be the type that got arrested multiple times for drugs, or public intoxication, probably a homeless bum that lives in alley ways, maybe even had to kill people (as the streets around here are dangerous for homeless people) I wouldn't be on computer in a house, and I wouldn't care about any video game as I'd be to focused on drugs to care about anything else. on the postive, I'd probably be a lot skinnier, I was skin and bones when I took my drugs.

If EarthBound didn't exist, then I would have no video game series that involve me going into NERD RAGE! If someone called it a bad name. Also I would have never met you lovable fans of the series, and EBC would have became StarTropicsCentral, and I would be commenting on it's forum now. Also, Fangamer and King-Of-Games' M3 shirts, and there wouldn't be Reid's cheesy "Giygas's Spawn" fanfic!

if Earthbound never existed, i would either not be broke right now or i would be broke over other things.
but at the same time, i would still kept buying things that i think would give my life meaning only to be disapppointed.
but not Earthbound. the game changed my life forever.
was it worth buying the game, yes, yes, and yes.
was it worth buying EVERY Mother merch i could find, i'm not sure but probably a big No, except 1 or 2 things.
