When playing mother 3 I was in the Unknown Valley I was in that cave with the mole selling items, and in the hot spring was some guy, when you talked to him he just said "yes?" and when I reneterd he was gone, after 6 more times of going in and out he was there again and he just said the same thign as before. Touchs like this make a game a superb game and that why I love mother 3.

Anyone else know of little touchs in mother 3?

Every time I play Mother 3 I learn something new. You know the doorknob that comes off Flint's house in Chapter 1? You can actually pick it up in the Osohe courtgrounds in Chapter 3, but Yokuba makes you drop it in the river (I'm guessing, it was in Japanese).

LOL I never knew about that intil now, I'll be sure to check it out the next time I play through the game!

I love how in the movie theater it shows the chosen four from Earthbound. But although they could have added some of Mother 1 in there too.

it's because Porky was best friend with those 4 (so I believe he was in his messed up warped demented Giygas infested mind)

Theres a lot of little things that make mother 3 better for me. Theres how when each character talks the text sound is different. There is also how yokuba appears in chapter 1 and how there are the secret Awesome items you can find for lucas.

I remember sitting there staring at the screen for a few minutes just remembering how much I loved Earthbound and wanted to play it again.

there's too many to name, but one of the things that i found heartrending is the amount of attention and detail given to Hinawa's gravesite.
the cliff, the flowers surrounding her tombstone, the beautiful view from the cliff and the sky.
most of all, how the colors of the flowers change throughout the game.
Hinawa is always brought new flowers. that's sweet. especially if you have lost a maternal figure like myself.
it conveys how much Flint missed his dear wife and Alec and the kids too. it's sad but wonderful.
ooh, and the flashbacks too when Lucas visits.

I'd have to say the flowers changing colors was one of my favorite little touches as well. (proves that she was loved and she is missed deeply)

How the Drago at the begining actually crushes you if you ram it from the left side. HIL-arious!
