Basically in what order did you play each of the EarthBound games. You don't neccessarily need to have beaten the game to say you've played it, you just need to have played long enough to say you tried it. I played the games in this order
1. EarthBound Zero
2. EarthBound
3. Mother 3.

I played them in chronological order what order did everyone else play them in.

Earthbound, Mother 3, then Mother.

I've already posted how I encountered earthbound, but the EB0 thing was almost a fluke.

The mother 3 thing was part of that torrential storm of awaiting that we all sat through, knowing that something wonderful was happening with a tomato, a jeffman, and a GBA rom...

The reason I played EB0 first was that the Mother 3 translation hadn't been finished yet, and I didn't have a snes or EarthBound cart. I felt kind of bad pirating EarthBound since it did get an official english release and if I really wanted to I could just buy the game. I did pirate EarthBound though but the emulator sucked, I beat it on an emulator but I actually bought a SNES copy a while later. EarthBound Zero had no official english release so I didn't feel too bad emulating it. I played earthbound zero first and I really wanted to play EarthBound next so I went ahead and emulated it anyway. After the mother 3 translation was finished I emulated mother 3 and beat it in english. I wound up loving all three games and decided to actually buy a snes and later EarthBound.

I played EarthBound first because I was a 4 when it came out and so I could barely read at that time, let alone read magazines that had blurbs about MOTHER/EB0 on the NES.

I discovered EB0 at some point long before MOTHER3 was even announced for the GBA, but I had never actually played through it.

And I began M3 the day the patch came out, stopped. Then started a new game one day, stopped again in chapter 4 or 5. Picked it back up several months ago and stopped at the beginning of Chapter 8. Something always gets in the way of me finishing that game. I think the last time is me not wanting it to end though.

At some point after I finish M3, I'm, going to play through EB0 in its entirety. That's #1 on my bucket list.

I played 2, 3, then 1, but I finished them in reverse order 3 2 1.
