I've always been curious as to how people got into EarthBound. A lot of people heard about it
from smash bros while other people got into it when the game first came out.

I had heard of Earthbound from a video on Youtube called "Top 10 Creepiest Bosses in Non-Horror Video Games".

When I was a kid, I was in a video game store and had two options: EarthBound or Mario RPG.

I went with the latter unfortunately, and for the longest time I thought that Ness in Smash64 was the kid from Harvest Moon.

But then I got into collecting games, saw EarthBound had awesome reviews, bought the game.

I read about it in Nintendo Power and saw the ad campaign when it was first released, because I am ancient beyond reckoning. I was completely disinterested, but then I was at a rental joint, and it was the only thing in stock that I hadn't played, so...

Smash Bros. Melee.Ness was my best so I went like 5 years wanting Earthbound.

based on the games portrayal of ness. I then looked further into the series to and
became a huge fan of it.

You mean how the computer always makes Ness look like a fool?

I thought he was the kid from Paperboy. I had no idea how the kid from Paperboy could do magick.

Originally, my mother brought it home from Wal-Mart along with an SNES when I was 7. She told me when I asked that "the box caught her eye." I've fallen in love with the game since then and I will never relinquish my #1 game of all time to any other game.

That box is eye candy.
