Though I've never made it past Chapter 5 and I spoiled it for myself, the final battle really got to me. It was as much the tragedy as it was Hinawa's words, especially when someone's said them or you mentally voice those words. I really need to play through it again.

yeah , I don't know how close they are to the actual translation, but I felt they were perfect for people that read English. they way the words were put into order, really tugged on all my heart strings at once. so much thanks for the translators putting so much effort into translating this game so wonderfully it perfectly tore my heart apart.

I wouldn't have gotten the same sensations from playing a faq walkthrough that explained the story. (what we were kind of forced to do without the translation) I will be forever thankful for the fan translation team. for making me cry.

because when I played it through faq play through. I felt emotionally detached from the story. so thank you all who helped. I know you ran into your bugs and troubles

so yes, I cried on mother 3. just not on my first play through

No actual tears have come out while playing (mostly because I was holding back), but I came very close at some points. Like Chapter 1 (Flint's flashback), Chapter 5 (Jukebox playing EB64 songs), Chapter 7 (Nippolyte giving Lucas Courage Badge, and coming back to Tazmily with nobody there) and Chapter 8 (Well... you know, THAT part).

yeah I know exactly what you mean about chapter 8. when I saw the black and white sesame from mother 2 were finally living together. I teared up too. :geek:

It was sad in some parts, but at the end of the game, I literally had to lock myself in the bathroom because I was crying so damn much, and I've only cried like 5 times in my life :geek: definitely an emotional game, it really got to me :P

I'm not very emotional, but I felt devastated right when Flint learned where the Drago Tooth was found. I seriously just stared forever at that line on the screen
And I was holding back during the final battle

CHAPTER 6. All that needs to be said.
It was especially heart-wrenching for me since I lost my mother at an early age.

I must admit, I did tear up a bit when Hinawa died.

chapter 1: very close, perhaps a bit teary eyed.
chapter 4: very sad intro. sad.
chapter 6: teary eyed.
Leder speech: cried.
Chapter 8: cried. cried a lot.
20 minutes after putting M3 down: cried.

months later, thinking about chapter 8: sheds a tear.
