I know this is super old thread...but is still intro thread. I am FMC, a 26 year-old EarthBound fan since 1995. While my love for EB runs deep, I'm not much of an "internet/computer-guy" so I never really knew about EBC or SM.net until recently. The real reason I wanted to post here was to express my unending, unmatched appreciation for the fine souls responsible for the English translation of Mother 3. As mentioned, I was never really "on the scene", so I didn't even know about Mother 3 until a short time ago. Figured out how to get my hands on the game and the patch, and I never looked back. Words cannot express the level of appreciation I felt for being able to play that game. I have never in my life experienced so much joy from being able to play a game...in this case a game I felt like I already loved before even playing. I still have trouble understanding how meaningful the experience of playing that game actually was. It is something that will stick with me for the rest of my life. To the people who translated, to the folks at FanGamer for the handbook, I truly thank you all from the very bottom of my heart.

I am RadicOmega… but you can just call me Radic. I really like music and sports, I can play many instruments, I'm really egur to meet some more people here. And I can say some Japanese: そこにこんにちは、お元気ですか、私は動物、そして水泳が好き!And some Portugees: Olá, como vai você, eu gosto de animais, e nadar!

Hello, I am Gooptek. I seem to like Earthbound a lot, but I also like other series, like Pokémon, Professor Layton, Pikmin, and Dragon Quest (yay Slime!). I was actually born in Venezuela, but now I live in Brazil, and I can speak fluently three languages; English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Also, I'm actually learning Japanese, but I'm not as advaced as Radic... Speaking of Radic, he's my best friend in this forum, and we seem to have a lot in common, too...

Yeah, and also I'm interested in the Percy Jackson series. I can speak pretty good Japanese and am at a swim meet right now! But if you dont like turtles or animals, something bad will happen in a million years!

Welcome, Radic Omega and Gooptek! Percy Jackson is awesome. The books moreso than the movie, but anyways... Gooptek, that's really cool! Spanish is a cool language (I know a little bit- hola, me llama Rhyselinn) and I wish I knew Portuguese and Japanese. Welcome to the site, you guys! Most of us don't bite.
