With news on how the Nintendo 3DS' eShop will feature GameBoy Advance games, is it possible that the same will feature Mother 3? I was wondering, since, Super Nintendo Entertainment System games that weren't localized got translated for the Nintendo Wii's Shop Channel (I can't remember what game it was, though...). Now that localization costs (and some other expenses) are either lower (or they don't exist ((packing the game in a cartridge))), will it get localized?

Do you think Mother 3 will be localized for the 3DS' eShop?

I really wish it would be but at this point; there hasn't been any rerelease whatsoever (save for Mother 1+2 but that was japan only). We've been told numerous times that there's no plans to release EarthBound on the virtual console, and that there's no plans to release mother 3. I really want it rereleased but I just don't think mother 3 has much of a chance.

As far as I know the 3DS E-shop is only going to support Gameboy and Gameboy Color games. There's no official news otherwise, just rumors.

Well, Mato made very clear that, if Nintendo wants to release the game in America, they can use his script for free. I'm not 100% sure about the "for free" thing, though.

Also if they where to chance anything I am sure they would change the title, change the names.

Maybe. But since Mother 3/Earthbound 2 has a lot of weird stuff, either it should be changed or rated T. Or something.

Nintendo can rate it whatever they want, I'd still play if it got a US release.

It would be pretty damn cool if Mother 3 and/or Mother 1+2 where to go on to the 3DS ambassador games.

All of em have not been announced yet. Only 5. Yet unlikely, MOTHER 3 and MOTHER 1+2 may come.....
