Shigasato Itoi decides to make MOTHER 4. Game designers are needed. You are chosen as a designer. Who are the main characters and what is the story?

Hate to be a boner kill but there is already a Mother 4 fan game in the works.

Well if I could deside, I'd probably continue on with the trend we have going. A new main character, and the party won't be a group of 4 kids but it will be more diverse like it was in mother 3. I can't say much for the story but I'd like to see giygas apear in some way since we kinda forgot about him in Mother 3. Maybe it would be as a major character or maybe he'd just be mentioned, just as long as we get giygas. I'll probably give my story idea later on when I'm in a more creative mood.

I know. I was saying it as if there wasn't.

Here's my story:

In 1989, mysterious events occurred in a small region in the USA, but were stopped by a group of kids. In 1994, the same type of events happened in England, but were yet again stopped by another bunch of children. In 2006, an island chain completely submerged under the sea, off the coast of Africa (Nowhere islands = Canary islands), with its inhabitants rescued from being trapped underground...

In 2012, the exact same events are happening non-stop around the world, and it turns out Giygas is back inside a comet, and the only way to stop it is hidden inside a capsule locked away at the center of the Earth. So a bunch of teens find a way to get there, successfully reach the capsule only to find it empty. At that point Giygas's meteor impacts the Indian ocean causing another tsunami similar to that of the Boxing Day 2004 one. The teens find a way inside and find out its a teleporter and teleport to where the meteor is. The meteor opens up to reveal Giygas and shoots out a mysterious black mist that envelops the atmosphere causing the sun to be blocked out, leaving the world in darkness.

A battle ensues but eventually Giygas is defeated by another capsule that shows up which is Porky. The teens eventually find out Porky is the one controlling Giygas from his capsule. Porky is this time destroyed by the teens PSI skills put together, but also killing Giygas as well, in the incident.

While this battle was going on, the tsunami enveloped the world killing millions and displacing the rest. To finally end this ongoing war between Giygas and its species, the last of the human race sign a peace treaty, and everyone lived in harmony. The teens grew old and died like the rest but their achievements along with Ninten's, Ness's and Lucas's, stayed with humanity forever, and Porky's legacy is long lost and forgotten. And so thus ends the last of the thrilling chapters of the Mother anthology...

Chuck Norris appear out of nowhere and destroys the Absolutely Safe Capsule. Then, Porky tries to take over the world again.

I don't know about all of the characters, but I would try to make a darker story (like MOTHER 1) with a protagonist that actually speaks.
It really bothers me when they're silent.

Well Mother 4 could take a few possible roads to make it possible.
-They could take an alternate timeline road.
-Make a completely new enemy with the same concept of the other mother games with little to no connection.
-A continuation from one of the games going FF7 style.
