Thanks for answering Onion. We have some similar collecting habits. I collect mostly MOTHER as far as video game merch goes, but I've begun to branch off into some other series I like. After getting the Chrono Trigger figures on display, and with the anticipation of the MOTHER figures, I've decided to pick up some more figures from other things, most likely some anime ones if I can find them and not spend an arm and a leg.
I'll collect anything Nintendo that is cool and interesting. I just <3 Nintendo.

And I'll collect anything that is cool and can be framed and hung on my wall. I love to have things on display, so that's where my love for framed wall-displays and my new-found love for figures come from. They make such awesome display pieces along with some nice simple framing or shelving, respectively.
I generally like smaller sized posters and framables (11x17 are the absolute most awesome and perfect size!), but the EB poster is an exception, and it will shine in all its deserving glory with how big it is.
And I too went pretty crazy when I first started on YAJ.
Not gaming, but I did recently start collecting DVD's of anime series I really like. So far I have Ergo Proxy, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Elfen Leid, and a cheap Asian budget release of Paranoia Agent (need to get the cash for the real collector's box). On the list is Ghost in the Shell, FLCL, Cromartie High School, Trigun, and possibly others I can't think of atm. But DVD's are lowest priority of my collecting habits.
On a final note, when I own my own dream house one day (which will be built from the ground-up with floor plans designed by myself), I'm going to construct a a home theater/game room which will bring the elegance of a theater into perfect harmony with the coolness and geekiness of a game room. It will have all my EB/MOTHER framed things on the walls - walls which will be purple velvet. There will be matching curtains, lined with shiny gold tassels, and plenty of dimmable neon and UV lighting. The room should also have a bar, and half theater seating, and another half with high-top tables and stools. *beautiful mental picture*
...or maybe I'll just recreate the Topolla Theater!
Oh yeah, back to collections (and reality).
