Okay, so here's the story, in convenient list form.

1. Buy Mother and Final Fantasy I-III on Famicom.
2. Buy a Famicom to NES converter.
3. Place Mother cartridge in converter.
4. Remove converter, which fit a little too tight.
5. Break plastic on Mother cartridge.
6. Cry on the inside.
7. Cry on the outside.

The converter was taken out of an old NES game, apparently, and with those the plastic is supposed to be sanded down so that this disaster doesn't happen. I'm suppressing the instinct to say "screw it" and buy another copy of the game, then sell the damaged one to a game shop or something.

So . . . is there a particular kind of glue that works well for the plastic on Famicom cartridges, both in being strong and invisible? I can't be the only one who's done this before . . .

A bit late but they make glue for plastic models so if you know of any hobby shop, or an arts and crafts store you could probably find so there. I haven't ever needed to use it for cartridges but I think it would work.

Thanks, I'll probably look at one of those stores. Heck, I might even just bring in the cartridge.

Basically I was going to just use superglue, but thought I would check if there was something better for that particular kind of plastic.

Personally I don't really like using super glue for something delicate since it is the biggest pain to get rid of. Its hard to get it accuratly on some things and if you accidently spilled it on the pins for the cartridge it wouldn't work until you got it off.
