I just got a question for y'all: Do you own any rare or uncommon video games or systems?
I own an unlicensed NES game Bible Adventures. It is quite rare. I also own a very rare Gameboy multicart cartridge called 52-1. Discuss!

I have a rare Pokemon Silver pirate translation. It's kind of funny, since the text is made up, and has no relation to the original Japanese text. For example, In MT.SILVER, (called BADCAVE in the pirate game), Red (called Ash in the pirate) says "Hi baby!" instead of "......"
It was made by some group known as "Vida Translations", and, apparently, is pretty rare, there's no dump of it, and I haven't seen it on Ebay.

Hmmm, if by rare or uncommon, do you mean that they fetch exorbitant prices on eBay? If you do, I've got a few!

GBA: Final Fantasy 5 Advance

GB/C: Pokemon RBY/GSC (Which are worth quite a bit, surprisingly), Metroid II: Return of Samus

N64: Mario Party 3 (For the sole fact that it's extremely rare in Europe)

For the most part, that's really about it. however, I have the boxes for nearly every game I own (Pokemon Blue, Yellow, and Gold, along with FF5 Advance and Metroid 2 being the exceptions), along with every system I own in excellent shape! From a collectors point of view, I think that doubles the value of the games I have.

Now if you mean rare/uncommon games in general, Metroid 2 alone would fit the bill I think...

Wait, what? This is rare/expensive?
I remember nabbing it for $10 or so a few years back from a bin at a local store that had about 30-40 copies that I know all weren't sold.

I feel lucky now, for some reason.

EDIT: From what I'm seeing, it's only brand new/sealed copies that are going for $70 or so.
Most used copies are at a pretty spendible $15-$25 or so with the box.
That's...Really not all that expensive...

While it isn't that rare EarthBound is the most valuable game I own, so I guess I don't have much to post here. I also own Cosmic Fantasy 4 chapter 2 for the PC engine CD. I don't own a Turbografx or PC engine CD but I have an emulator that lets you play those games on via your CD drive. I don't know how well it did or didn't sell but it was the last game in the series, and probably the best too. Its the only import game I own but it was pretty cheap so I dought its rare or anything.

Well, to be fair, FF5 for the GBA is pretty hard to come by these days... but it doesn't seem to be worth as much as it was about a year and a half ago. FF6 for the GBA on the other hand is another story... Either way, I was able to acquire the game for $5 from Gamestop, so i'm certainly not complaining!

Action 52 on the NES.

I have Suikoden II for the PSX. Pretty pricey I believe.

I have the first one from PSN, and, while it's not a great nor revolutionary RPG, I like it very much so.
Charming characters and story that doesn't get in the way of the gameplay.

I just wish they'd throw the second one on PSN.
I'm not about to pay some asshat on eBay $150 for a used game in unknown condition that I know nothing about.

Oh, and while the game as a whole isn't very rare, I do own the v1.1 of Ocarina Of Time that contains blood and all.
From my understanding, both 1.0 and 1.1 are considered rare as the grand majority of the copies are 1.2+.

Well, either way, I have Planescape: Torment on disk. I mean, it's not like it's now widely available on digital distribution channels for chea-Oh, wait.

Hrm. Well, what about Baldur's Ga-Oh, nevermind.

How about Anachronox? I mean, the game can't really be found anywhere physically anymore...Beyond eBay...Where repackaged EU versions of it sell for dirt-cheap...

I give up...
