Hello everyone.

I am Oniell Ford. I've been a frequent PC user and have posted things on YouTube, Blogspot and other various forms of media. Over the years, I've taken an interest in computer games and have tried my hand at HTML and Lua coding. For a few years now, I've been tossing around the idea of a EarthBound related game mode for the Steam game called "Garry's Mod". I've played various types of game modes on it for a while, and decided perhaps with some help I could get some of my ideas into fruition.

The main idea for the game mode is that it's a Roleplay type. I've come up with a back story for the game mode to explain it's setting and the appearance of all the players. It's supposed to be a darker "What if?" of EarthBound/Mother 2's storyline. With Giygas taking over the Earth, humanity starts to rise up against Giygas' rule. There would be "factions" that the players could choose to be. If any of you have played Garry's Mod and tried out DarkRP, you'll understand the basis of it. The "police" will be the Starmen with the Resistance fighters being the "criminals".

But I've become slightly concerned that this darker theme would be the opposite of EarthBound's basic mood. That's why I'm pitching this idea to you guys first, before I put too much time into developing it. Please give me your feedback. Any thoughts or ideas on how I should proceed with this project is welcome. If you have any questions, I'll try to check here as often as I can and respond accordingly.
