Hey guys. I recently picked up, yet another, copy of EarthBound with guide. This makes three for me. I already have a complete set (box, game, guide, and inserts), but I'm looking for another box to store the two extra guides.

If anybody happens to have a good condition big-box they are trying to sell...I am the man with whom you should speak.

I also am ALWAYS interested in guides. If you have a guide for any game on any system prior to PS2, I would probably buy it.

There is a site where you can buy a replica of the original box, it looks exactly the same as the real thing and its much cheaper too. http://uncletusk.com/catalog/6
If you want the real deal you need to check ebay.

Those boxes are regular sized and the guides wont fit in it.

Darn I was under the impression it was an exact replica of an EarthBound box. Well I suppose it is if you count those rarer display boxes since those were regular sized but that's not exactly what he wanted.

It's not the same as the display box. Look: http://gameswag.com/view/earthbound-display-box/

On the display box, the EB logo spills over into the black void on the right. But I'm glad that those reproduction boxes aren't exactly like the two real ones, otherwise they would devalue the real ones.

The reproduction boxes were made by a guy named Uncle Tusk, a video game collector who wanted regular sized, cheap Earthbound boxes. For a collector of boxed games, the large box is not easy to display on a shelf with other boxed SNES games.

I actually have one of those fan-made boxes. It does look quite nice on a shelf with many other SNES games. However, as someone pointed out it doesn't offer a great storage option for game + guide.

Regardless, I sure appreciate everyone's input. I'll find one somewhere. I'm just not willing to pay the "market" price of $100-$150. I think that's a bit inflated. I commonly tell myself not to support what I call the "EarthBound-greed phenomenon."

Yeah, the prices of official EB merchandise is starting to get ridiculous.
