that's true. i opened my Mother 3 shirt out of its package and now it's never gonna be folded pristine again.

Actually I was able to refold the green starman shirt perfectly back into the box. The creases stayed there--I guess it had been folded for so long.

But yeah I'm are we can all agree, as true fans of the series, the dearly value is in seeing what the merch contains, not keeping it contained forever. Woot.

I don't know. Part of the value of this auction is that it's still sealed.

JPY 8,000. Great price for this and I've got a soft spot for these since this is how the thread started.

Of course the value of the auction includes that it is sealed. What I mean is, as a fan of MOTHER, it would have to ache you to not know what's on the tape.

Who knows, maybe the video has some footage from a pre-production ROM, or even a quick word from Itoi. I'm assuming it is something like the American EB "commercial" but since it was in Japan, where MOTHER and Itoi already had a reputation, it's not unlikely that he'd pop his head in on a video that was being looped in game stores.

Oh well, knowing LT, I'm sure he dropped a big fat bid on the bad boy and I'll be glad if he gets it to unveil its contents and share with us. =)

true. i mean wouldn't you be pissed if you kept that Mother 2 promotional tape for a very long time, then played it 10 years later and found out that is was for Wario's Woods?

LOL Well, unless the label was inadvertently affixed to the wrong video, it's definitely MOTHER 2. And Wario's Woods was a fun game! But yes, I have every intention of opening it if it's sealed and I win it. But I will cry a little first.
