As you may (or may not) know, there is actually a patch for Earthbound that allows you to run by holding the Y button. I'll attach a copy of the patch to this post. I was wondering if someone could rework the patch to use the R button in the Mother 2 side of Mother 1+2. Anyone up to the task?

I might as well download this. It'll be interesting playing the game with the run ability, hey maybe I'll actually be able to avoid random battles with it. I guess the only thing is that the skip sandwich is kind of useless now, unless the running patch is slower than it.

I guess that would be better than doing the fast-forward thing on the emulator.

And No, I don't want to try to the 'R' button thing on M1+2. LAZY

@Starstormer: It's the same speed as a Skip sandwich. All the patch does is activate it's effect when you press the Y button.

@REC: It's much better than the fast-forward button. It makes just you go faster, not the whole game.
