I wish I had an answer. Maybe because he appears more than once or maybe people think he's funny since he's made of belch. Really I don't dislike him but I really don't care much for him either.

Belch is a talking pile of vomit with a peculiar affinity for fly honey. What's not to love about that?!

Real answer: I like him because he's one of EarthBound's most unique enemies. No other game in the world has such a weird boss!

I don't really care for Belch. :-\ He's okay. Nothing special. I still think Starmen are my favorite enemies. And the Mondo Mole. I likez him.

well i think he epitomized the "pull my finger" humor era that is called the 90s, the same time as Earthbound's release. plus he's a pile of puke. it can't get better than that.
