If Mother 3 was made into a movie by Hollywood using famous actors... who do you think would be playing each respective charactyers roll? Here is what I thought up at work.

Lucas and Claus: Only famous twins I could find are from Disney.

But i mean wouldnt that be cool if originally Itoi wanted to make Mother 3 into a movie and Christopher Lloyd would play Alec. That would be so awesome. And I mean the actor for Kumatora would be weird but the one I chose for fassad cracks me up.

I personally believe the MOTHER series is best suited for fan-interpretations and fan films. Hollywood has a bad habit of ruining things.


Also, as much as I love Christopher Lloyd, I never saw Alec as that old. Also, I'm not that familiar with your other choices, save for Nicolas Cage, and he is the opposite of a bad-ass. He couldn't play an accurate Flint in my opinion.

If Hollywood was to make a film adaptation of any of the MOTHER games, I think it'd be better without big-name stars in my opinion.

Okay, second thought, I think Robert De Niro (the guy who played Captain Shakespeare in Stardust, LOL ) would be a great Fassad.
I also nominate Christopher Lloyd (the Back-to-the-future scientist, if I'm correct) as Dr. Andonuts.

But besides that, I think that small-name is the way to go. The people in Mother 3 are really well-developed characters, and it's not fair to cover up the characters with famous names. We want people to say "Whoever played Duster was amazing," instead of "Yeah, [actor] was really, really good in it, but I kept thinking of the character he played in [other famous film]. It was so distracting."

I also looked up famous twin actors, and I couldn't find anybody in the age range of Lucas and Claus who I'd actually ever heard of. If Mother 3 ever gets turned in a movie, I really hope the creators find some STELLAR actors to play Lucas and Claus. AND they have to be twins. I wouldn't want to be that casting director, I'll say that much.

In today's world it wouldn't be too difficult to only hire one actor and edit his physical appearance slightly to depict a twin sibling through CG.

An animated feature is a good thought, though. Then they only have to find voice actors.
