I played the fan translation on my old computer and it worked flawlessly. I recently got around to installing it on my new computer, but I have run into a small problem:
At certain points in the game (ex: in the forest while it is on fire) the game has short bursts of lag and the sound gets jumbled. Do any of you know what is causing the problem? It probably isn’t my computer since my new comp is better than my old. I am thinking that I may have gotten a slightly bad ROM, but I could just have some settings wrong on VBA. I have tried toying with a few VBA settings, but to no avail. Do you have any suggestions on what I could do to fix it? I really would not like to have to find another ROM.

I doubt it's a bad ROM, are you running it full screen? On some comps that can affect lag.

I do run it full screen, but it still lags the same no matter what the size is.

Give some other ROMs a try then, I'm really no expert on the subject.

Well I got another ROM and it is still doing it, so it must be a problem with VBA.

If your having so much trouble splurge the couple bucks to get a flash card for the DS and play it. Dont bother with wii homebrew cause it lags on there are well.

Actually, I played on wii homebrew and I had no lag at all!

I was watching the SM fanfest vid and Reid was lagging at the same places that I was, so I don't know what is up.

I have no slow down with this setting and I have a really really really old craptacular computer (almost 10 years old less than a gig of ram 1 1.5 ghz 32 bit 64mb video ram)

anyway I have a really old slow computer that sucks. and i can run it without any slow downs.

Video > Render API > Direct3d 9 and filter Bilinear and even though Open GL isn't slected Filter Bilinear is checked that too
als Vsync and triple buffering selected as well
Audio > output API > DirectSound 8 and sync game to audio
Pixel filter > Dissable Filters
Pixel filter > interframe blending > none
SPeed > throttle > no throttle
Speed > frame skip > no frame skip

it runs flawless without any lag besides on the title screen where you name. other than that the entire game is perfect. combos are easy and no lag

What is the difference between version M and regular?
