I know this is really hard to imagine but what if EarthBound, Mother or any of the EarthBound games never existed in Japan, america or anywhere. How would we be impacted, how would the videogame industry, and how would really everything be impacted. I feel that EarthBound not existing would have the biggest impact on its fans but aside from that I'm not quite sure how videogames or even RPGs would be impacted but as a fan I know how gaming for me would be different.

I'm going to ignore that pokemon comment and say, I'd be dead if earthbound never came out. and that's a true fact, that I don't feel like explaining. (goes into long talks about drugs)

I would probably never found such an awesome series (besides chrono Trigger both equal), I would never have started on my fan game, never would have met you all, never would have bought something online, never would have looked at RPG's the same way as I do now. Also I never would have heard of Mato, that guy is the coolest and deserves an award, never would have met pigmask private who is a fellow earthbound fan and furry, would have never met kyoo cause we all know he is cool as well.

I think if EarthBound had never existed I wouldn't have gotten into RPGs. RPG's are my favorite genre of videogame and EarthBound was the first RPG I really got into, had it not existed I probably never would have tried any other RPGs on the snes or really any at all. I probably wouldn't have gotten a snes either since there was no big game I had wanted for it that I couldn't get for another console. I could play mega man X on mega man X collection, Zelda link to the past and super mario world were also for GBA. In fact I wouldn't have gotten into collecting snes games. I think I would've really gotten into platformers since thats my seccond favorite genre but thats just me.

Well if earthbound was never made we would all be talking about mother 1, and earthbund central would be called "mother 1 central"
