I’ve searched everywhere on the internet for SOMETHING our school band/orchestra could play that’s Mother-related, but I’ve come up empty-handed I think it’d be really amazing though if someone did an arrangement based off of the Mother Medley done years ago by the Tokyo Philharmonic.

The orchestra has performed the song again in 2010 and 2011. Unfortunately, even though their skills have improved since 2008, their timing is still somewhat off.

It’s not coming over here ever. Legal issues that you are all aware of come into effect. Music licensing is not something that Nintendo EVER wants to come into contact with and can be sued MILLIONS of dollars worth if ever contested.

Getting a call regarding Mother 3 used to be a write of passage for a lot of the call center representatives. We have a semi standard answer as you’ve seen basically saying “We’re not sure of why this is” and “We don’t have any current plans right now.”

I’ll tell you this, Earthbound WAS a VC project years ago, but then was stopped due to music licensing issues. There are no “risks” in marketing EB or Mother 3 here. Nintendo knows you’ll buy it. Fact of the matter is that they won’t deal with the legal shit fest.

LOVE IT. This makes me wanna play Earthbound. I’m gonna go play Earthbound now.

P.S.: I know it’ll never happen, but this would be sweet to see in Mother 4 (the fan-game one, that is).
