Tips for Buying EarthBound

September 30th, 2016 | Videos

About five years ago, a Japanese Nintendo fan named Pikosaru made EarthBound-style sprites out of many Nintendo characters and recreated EarthBound’s cast roll scene with them. Pikosaru has since updated the project with many new characters from many new games, both new and old. Check out the latest version:

You can also visit Pikosaru’s website here, where you can scroll them all the characters at your leisure. The sprite art looks really nice, especially given the size constraints!

This is cool. Man it must have taken forever for him to do all these though. Geez!

Bless you Tomato! This is all I have while I wait on this damn NX News!

Didn’t expect Splatoon to go first, honestly (>ヮ<)

Hate to be “that guy”, but Banjo-Kazooie and Conker aren’t Nintendo properties. They may have been at one point, but their owned by Rare and Rare is owned by Microsoft. That’s also why they’ll probably never appear in a Smash Bros. title.

I also question why new sprites of the EarthBound/Mother 2 cast were used instead of the originals, but whatever. I can appreciate the effort that went into this.

This is too cute.

Also, for a while there, I was starting to think all Pokémon would appear.

I love pixel art, so I love this.

Can really tell this guys’ favorite IP must be Splatoon, though 😛
