Tips for Buying EarthBound

November 6th, 2015 | Audio Stuff, EarthBound, Hacking, Videos

Editing/hacking EarthBound’s music has always been a tough, tedious chore. Usually it involves plugging in lots of numbers, data, and other complicated stuff that takes beyond the grasp of most people.

But the situation has improved and now EarthBound music hacking is a little easier thanks to a bunch of new updates from EarthBound hacker BlueStone, including support for MIDI instruments!

For more info and download links, see here.

It seems like EarthBound hacking tools have really been leveling up a lot lately, it’s an exciting time!

Incredible stuff! I always wanted to play around with the EarthBound music files but never had much hacking experience. This looks like it may finally give me an opportunity!

That’s really cool. Maybe after a few more years we’ll be able to just add our own songs and convert them to EarthBound’s soundfont via a converting program no problem.

It’ll take a very long time but dammit, I want my Final Fantasy 4 remake in my EarthBound engine, dammit.

This looks nice, especially with the keyboard input and everything.

But off-topic really: has anyone made a special tool for hacking the music of the Mother portion (not Mother 2) of Mother 1+2?
